The UTStarcom CDM-7026 is a clamshell phone designed for all those who desire to stay connected on a shoestring budget. It is a CDMA dual band phone. Its dimensions are 3.5 by 1.9 by .7, putting it in the midrange size group for its class. Its weight is also average, coming in at 3.2 oz or 91 g.

The UTStarcom CDM-7026 is powered by a Li-Ion, 1050 mAh battery. This battery provides a meager 3.8 hours of talk time and 220 hours, 9 days, of standby time. The main display supports 65,356 colors, STN and has a resolution of 128 by 160 pixels. It also has 16 MB of built in memory.

The UTStarcom CDM-7026 is a decent phone, but nothing spectacular. It includes all the basics one needs on a cell phone, plus a few extras. GPS is great to have as well as web access and email support. The battery life is challenging to deal with and the quality of the screen is sub-par. This would be a great starter phone; it's affordable yet has many options. What it lacks in bells and whistles it makes up for in simplicity and price. The UTStarcom CDM-7026 does not make any big waves in the cell phone market, but all-in-all, it is an okay phone.
