The Samsung SGH-A137 is put out by AT&T (Cingular) and is a very basic, no frills type of phone that is perfect for newbies to the world of cell phones. The Samsung SGH-A137 is a clamshell GSM 850/GSM 1900 phone that includes MMS, an internal antenna, downloadable ringtones and graphics, a mini-browser and a speakerphone.

The SGH-A137 weighs in at 2.86 ounces and its dimensions are 3.46" x 1.76" x 0.78". The battery is an 800mAh Li-ion and the talk time is a maximum of five hours (approximately 300 minutes). The standby time is a maximum of 250 hours (or 10.4 days). The display on the phone is LCD Color STN, and the resolution is 128 x 128 pixels. The external display on the phone is monochrome LCD and it is 96 x 96 pixels.

The Samsung SGH-A137 has plenty of pros but it is also lacks in a number of areas. If you are looking for a basic phone, then this Samsung phone will do you just fine. However, if you are inclined towards multi functioning with your phone and enjoy listening to music on it, taking pictures or videos or e-mailing, you must look elsewhere.
