While many cell phones today use a slide configuration, not all of them work exactly the way the Samsung Highnote M630 works. Equipped with a nifty two-way slide design, it is possible to move the screen up to reveal an underlying keyboard or down to expose speakers. This handy design makes it easy to use the handheld device as a phone, access emails with ease, or listen to music.
The high quality speakers are just one part of the overall music system built into the M630. There is a standard headphone jack included that makes it easy to enjoy music in private. The memory card slot provides a simple way to upload or download music files. There is even a feature that far too many phones leave off these days, that is, the trusty scroll wheel that so many of us loved in the years past. With the additional layer created by the design, you would think the M630 would be heavy and somewhat bulky. While the unit does weigh in at around 3.77 ounces, that is barely more than other Samsung phones. As to dimensions, the overall unit is still much smaller than a bar phone and will fit into a trouser pocket with ease. When it comes to talk time, the M630 has a lot going for it. While many phones offer three hours of talk time between charges, the M630 offers a whopping 5.6 hours. That means a lot of extra talking during the day before the device need a recharge. A number of other features with the M630 will attract the eye of the curios consumer. GPS is included on the unit, along with a respectable 2.0 megapixel camera and stereo Bluetooth. One slight drawback is the capacity of the phone book, which is somewhat subpar, at 600. Still, that will be plenty of room for most needs. Pros
Cons
OverallThe sleek design and easy utilization will no doubt make the M630 a good choice for many people. While not the cheapest Samsung phone on the market today, it is well worth the purchase price. Click on the photo for more information on the Samsung Highnote M630
