Nokia 6600-fold

The Nokia 6600-fold is a high end clamshell phone designed for those who want their mobile device to be both functional and attractive. Despite the naming similarities to the Nokia 6600-Slide, the Nokia 6600-fold is nothing like the former. Instead, the Nokia 6600-fold is actually more similar to the popular Nokia 8800 “Arte” since it has a number of similar features.

Announced in April 2008, the Nokia 6600-fold is a quad band GSM phone which can be used anywhere in the world. During your travels, all you have to do is swap out the SIM card when you arrive at your destination and you’re all set to enjoy your phone wherever you are. The Nokia 6600-fold is also 3G capable, using the UMTS network anywhere in the world. Although the Nokia 6600-fold is not HSDPA capable for even faster Internet access, the UMTS network is much faster than the slower GPRS/EDGE networks.

Measuring in at approximately three and a half inches by one and a half inches by a half of an inch, the Nokia 6600-fold is rather small in size. Weighing in at approximately 110 grams, the Nokia 6600-fold isn’t heavy to carry around either.

Battery life is neither good nor bad with the Nokia 6600-fold. Expect to get approximately four hours of talk time or 300 hours of standby time on a single charge.
