Nokia 1006

The Nokia 1006 is an attractive candy bar styled cell phone that comes in either metallic blue or silver. It features a large and bright full color display that makes the phone look more advanced than it really is.

The Nokia 1006 has a rounded body and is ergonomically designed for comfort when in use. Many have referred to this as an "entry level" cell phone, since it does not have many advanced functions. It's simple in both form and function, and is really designed to cater to beginner users, young teenagers, or those that really only need their cell phone to make and receive calls.

It does, however, come with the quirks of a WAP browser, Bluetooth 2.0, 262k color display, 8 MB of built-in memory and a speakerphone.

Overall

Nokia launched the 1006 phone to help give consumers more options to buy a cell phone during these harsh economic times. They wanted to manufacture something that would appeal to a broad audience of people that might not have $500+ to spend on a fancy smartphone. The carrier will most likely offer this cell phone for free with plan sign up, so almost anyone new in the market for a cell phone will be able to get one.
