Motorola MOTOROKR-EM25

A slider “music phone” from Motorola, the MOTOROKR-EM25 is loaded with audio options (and Motorola's CrystalTalk technology) and includes the standard integrated software features users expect from Motorola slider phone devices.

Phone Dimensions

The device measures 101 x 46 x 13.9 mm and features an internal antenna. Weight, including battery, is a mere 90 grams, making the MOTOROKR-EM25 extremely light and portable.

Display Screen Size

The Motorola MOTOROKR-EM25 slider features a single 1.8 inch TFT LCD display on the device's face. The display is full color (65K) and provides 128 x 160 pixels of resolution. The smaller screen size may be a nuisance to some users, but should provide allow for optimal battery power usage.

Audio Options

Marketed as a music phone, the MOTOROKR-EM25 allows users to store personal music files with support for up to 2GB microSD (storage capacity for an estimated 11 hours of music). An FM radio with Radio Data System (RDS) is included. The RDS feature is designed to provide ease in identifying songs and artists.

A dedicated music key (one-touch MP3 player access) is included and a circular chrome key feature prominently on the device's face allows users to play, pause, fast forward, and rewind. Users will also be able to use the device to record radio clips from the internal FM radio.

Camera Capacity

The Motorola MOTOROKR-EM25 includes a built-in 1.3 MP camera with 4x digital zoom.

Connectivity Capabilities

Bluetooth (2.0 with A2DP) connectivity is included (device supports Bluetooth Wireless Technology but also features a universal 3.5 mm headphone jack). Users can send and receive text messages with SMS and MMS, and the device also features a WAP 2.0/xHTML browser for Internet use.

Many screensavers, wallpapers, and (Java) games come pre-loaded, but device supports download of additional content.

Additional Features

The MOTOROKR-EM25 provides USB accessibility with support for a 2.0 miniUSB cord. The phone allows for storage of up to 1000 phone numbers, 750 text messages, and 20 each received, outgoing, and missed calls. Pre-loaded software includes a clock (with alarm), calculator, calendar, to-do list, voice dialing, and voice memo features. Also included is T9 predictive text software.

The MOTOROKR-EM25 includes a 780 mAH Lithium-Ion battery that provides substantial battery life. Users can expect to receive up to 490 minutes of talk time and up to 330 hours of standby on a single battery charge.
