A music phone from the Korean company LG Electronics, the KP265 is an entry-level slider phone with a distinct appearance. While users may enjoy the much-hyped pre-installed music player, the KP265 itself is a basic phone offering basic standard features.

The device is a slight 96 x 46 x 17 mm and weighs in at a mere 90 grams. The KP265 provides a reasonably attractive exterior design with a rounded body and a prominent display screen on the device's face.

A TFT, 256K colors display screen is located on the front of the phone and measures a respectable 1.77 inches. Some users may find the screen size does not compare favorably with other slider phones, however, the smaller screen size does provide the benefit of increased battery utility.

Marketed primarily as a music phone, the KP265 features a 40 channel polyphonic ringtone function. Users will also find a myriad of audio options loaded with the device; including a 3.5 mm audio output jack, an FM radio, an MP3/eAAC+/WMA/WAV player, and an MPEG4/3GP player. Despite its billing as a music phone, some users have expressed frustration with low audio quality and volume settings.

Battery Specifications

The LG KP265 comes with a modest Lithium-Ion 900 mAh battery. Users can expect up to 3 hours of talk time or 300 hours of standby time on a single charge.
