LG AX-245

The LG AX-245 is a moderately featured phone that offers quality communication with a few drawbacks. The AX-245 has a clamshell design with a stub antenna. While some people don't like the stub, it worked fine for me and fit in my holster ok. The digital camera is a major feature of the phone, but don't get to excited, its resolution is only about 640 X 480 and it doesn't have any zoom or video recording options. It does come with a flash and does take quality pictures for a mobile phone.

The user interface is similar to other phones that LG has in the same range and it uses flash themes. You can customize your phone easily and navigating for the most part is easy and intuitive. There is a speakerphone on the AX-245. The sound quality was decent enough, but nothing earth shattering. It was loud enough and I was able to understand the conversation. It should be noted that you can only use the speaker phone when the clamshell is open, which I consider a major drawback.

This phone also comes with Bluetooth compatibility and worked well. The sound was clear when using my ear piece and I did not have any issues with it. The display screen was bright enough and easy to view.

Exterior of the phone looks nice and the interior is laid out nice as well. The buttons are easy to press and easy to navigate. Battery life is another plus on this phone, it definitely lasted longer than other phones I have had. I went a few days without charging it. I am not a heavy user, but still use it occasionally each day.

The Cons

• Nothing too bad, but nothing exceptional either, just a basic ho-hum phone
• Could use a slightly better camera phone
• Speakerphone could sound better and could be made to work when the clamshell is closed.

Overall

Nothing spectacular, but if you are looking for a decent phone with Bluetooth and a digital camera in a clamshell design, this might be worth a look.
