LG 4015

There are quite a number of up and coming cellular phone providers on the market today. One that is quickly becoming well known is that of LG Electronics. This company is quickly starting to rival both Nextel and Samsung for the corner office in much of today's business world. The reason is that LG Electronics can offer a number of phone models that are both down to earth and affordable.

A great example of this is the LG 4015. This flip type phone measures a respectable 8.2 x 4.3 x 2.2 centimeters, and weighs just over 80 grams. It also features a retractable type antenna, and comes in the basic color of grey. It doesn't have a changeable face plate, but what it lacks in style versatility, it does make up for in other features. The LCD screen displays information with 65k color and 128 x 128 pixel resolutions, allowing for fairly easy viewing of names, dates, phone numbers and simple graphics. The screen also gives the user the normal indications of incoming messages, battery, and when a high speed data transfer is in progress. It also offers the standard backlit illumination. In addition to voice calls, the LG 4015 also can easily support 2 way text messaging, including both SMS and MMS. The standard illuminated keyboard and 5 way navigation makes going through the various options of the LG 4015 fairly easy and straightforward. The phone book has the capacity for multiple entries, each of which can have the standard amount of information including the phone numbers, name, address and email address of each of the contacts. In addition, the LG 4015 is also SIM card compatible, which allows the customer to easily keep his or her personal contacts separate from the business ones. Other standard features include text messaging, one touch voicemail dialing, auto answer, and voice activated dialing.

The LG 4015 comes with 40 polyphonic ringtones standard, and downloading other tones is a fairly simple process. It also has vibration alert for those meetings where a ringing phone is simply out of place. And if you want to make sure you don't miss that one client's call, you can assign a specific ringtone to that individual so you know when their calling in.

There are a few features missing on the LG 4015 that seems a bit, well strange given the normal high quality of LG phones. For one, there is no external volume control, which makes adjusting the volume of the earpiece somewhat problematic. In addition, there is no standard memo pad, something that can truly come in handy when nothing else is available. It does, however offer a way to connect a standard hands free microphone and earpiece through a 2.5 mm outlet.

The LG 4015 came out of the box ready to go with a users manual, car charger, and wall charger. Additional accessories that could be purchased included a belt clip holster, a car mounted hands free device, and various protective sleeves made of various materials such as leather and other types of cloth.

With a standard lithium Ion battery talk time of the LG 4015 was shown to be a little over 230 minutes, and standby between charging was shown to be just less than 240 hours, which is fairly impressive. In addition, single strength and overall sound quality was found to be reasonable, with decreases in quality only occurring during times of low battery strength. Another feature that was seen as fairly handy was the predictive text typing, which made getting to contacts in the phone book that much easier.

When various customers were asked to give their opinions of the LG 4015, most found the phone to be adequate for ther uses, and many liked the fact that it didn't have many of the high ticket luxury items seen on many phones. The LG 4015 is definitely a phone that is designed for the working professional who doesn't need a lot of specialized tools such as an in phone camera or Bluetooth capabilities. Most consumers enjoyed the overall smooth feel of the phone, although there were some reports of the bare phone slipping out of hands during the colder winter months. Overall, for the relatively low price, most customers appeared to be happy with their purchase of the LG 4015.

So if you're looking for a no frills phone that can easily get the job done, one choice that should be on your shopping list is the LG 4015. Built for the working professional, this average looking phone can offer the sound quality and reception that is quickly becoming less and less commonplace.
