Kyocera Deco E1000: A Cute yet Useful Phone to Have
The Kyocera Deco E1000 is a dual-band CDMA phone. It comes in a cute, clamshell design; in fact, you could easily mistake it for a toy phone. It supports common messaging features such as predictive text messaging, email and MMS. It has a 500-capacity phonebook that supports photo and ring IDs. The common organizer package is also available in this phone. This includes time-related features such as an alarm clock, a world clock and a handy stopwatch. Other organizer features include a calendar, a to-do list and a memo pad. It is fairly lightweight at about 95 grams and has two color displays. Its two color displays are the 262.144k TFT main internal display and the 65.536k STN external display. The color displays, however, do not give the best picture image as can be expected from this phone. This is especially noticeable on the external display. The Kyocera Deco E1000 has a number of key features. Featuring a 1.3 megapixel camera, the phone boasts of video capture and playing capability and can do voice dialing and recording. The camera has an internal flash and a built-in digital zoom. The phone uses 1.2 Bluetooth technology that supports both headset and hands free usage. The music player supports MP3 files and you can listen to your favorite tunes through its built-in speakerphone. Internet access and browsing is possible with its WAP 2.0 platform. The phone also supports Java and BREW for downloadable games. For such a simple phone, you will be surprised to know that it has GPS capabilities that you will find to be useful in the streets. Pros
Cons
OverallThe phone can be a disappointment for people who want to own a phone with more sophisticated features. Kyocera Deco E1000, however, is a nice phone to have with its casual style and relatively cheap cost.
