HP iPAQ 610 Business Navigator

HP iPAQ 610 Business Navigator

Still a relatively new product offering, the HP iPAQ 610 Business Navigator does not have many unique features. For the most part, the device is pretty much like many other models on the market today. However, there are a couple of distinguishing features you may find useful.

One thing business users may find useful about the 610 is its long battery life. For the most part, this can ba accredited to HP's choice to build a phone that can house a larger battery. Of necessity, this means the 610 is one of the larger units on the market today, which goes against the trend of more compact devices. However, HP is banking on the presence of longer battery life to make the issue of the larger and heavier body unimportant to consumers.

Another design difference with the 610 is the presence of a number pad that is found on the touch wheel of the device. However, this may prove to be a bit unsettling to persons who are much more comfortable with using a keyboard to enter commands and dial numbers. The touch wheel also provides access to the other features on the unit.

Other than these two design features, the functionality of the 610 is pretty much average. Memory capacity is quite good, with 128MB of RAM and 256MB of ROM. The connectivity is via Wi-Fi and the unit is Bluetooth equipped. A 3.0 megapixel camera supports both still images and video. While the price tag for the 610 is somewhat high, chances are there will be a reduction in price, especially if initial sales do not go as favorably as predicted.
